1. Golf at the Suwannee River Golf Course

The Suwannee River Golf Course is a nine-hole course with tee boxes in place to play a full 18-hole round of golf. The course stretches over 3,000 yards of unique South Georgia swampland, where you're bound to see an alligator in one of the few water hazards. We’ll set up a tournament, so make sure you play your best game. There are prizes at stake! Carts will be provided at the Eco-Lodge, and you can drive across the road to the course.

Don't miss your chance to get a hole in one on Hole 7 and win a NEW CAR!!

2. Canoe Down the Suwannee River

Way Down Yonder on the Suwannee River! Before you embark on your guided canoe tour down the Suwannee River an Interpretive Ranger will guide you through the Suwannee River Visitor Center that overlooks a bend in the black-water river. Learn what gives the river its tea color and view animal displays including a black bear, bobcat, fox squirrel, otter, snakes, fish and numerous birds, including the endangered wood stork. Then, take a trip by canoe down the river and hope you get to see some real-life animals! The shuttle will depart from the Eco-Lodge at 1 p.m.to tour the visitor center. Then, you will be shuttled to the drop off point in the river. The shuttle will pick you up at the end of your tour and take you back to the Eco-Lodge.

3. Tour the Okefenokee Swamp by Boat

Named “Okefenokee” by Native Americans meaning land of the trembling earth, the Swamp is one of the most beautiful, untouched wonders of our Country. If you choose the Okefenokee Tour, you’ll have a chance to enter the Swamp through one of the most pristine locations and navigate through the waters by boat. The shuttle will depart from the Eco-Lodge and an Interpretive Ranger will meet you at the Suwannee River Visitor Center where you’ll view animal displays and learn about the green components of the building. You’ll then be shuttled to Stephen C. Foster State Park located around 18 miles East of Fargo, where you’ll be guided through the pre-historic Okefenokee. Comfortable clothing, a light jacket, long pants and a cap or hat are suggested for the boat ride.
