Clinch County Grower Workshop

Thursday, March 5 - 6-7:30 p.m. - Historic Station No. 11 Depot


The Clinch County Development Authority and Clinch County Extension Agency welcomed all Clinch County growers to attend a Clinch County Grower Grant and Assistance meeting on March 5 at the Historic Station No. 11 Depot. Links to the presentations and programs are below.
The following representatives from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) will discussed assistance programs:
  • Al Burns, Rural Development: CLICK HERE AL'S PRESENTATION  
    • Value-Added Producer Grant- helps agricultural producers enter into value-added activities related to the processing and/or marketing of bio-based, value-added products. Generating new products, creating and expanding marketing opportunities, and increasing producer income are the goals of this program
    • Rural Energy for America Program- provides grants and loan guarantees to agricultural producers and rural small businesses to help purchase renewable energy systems, make energy efficiency improvements and perform renewable energy feasibility studies
