Posted on July 21st, 2015

The Development Authority is convening Clinch County economic development partners to facilitate economic growth. The Economic Summit is Tuesday, July 28 from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Suwannee River Eco-Lodge and Conference Center in Fargo.

Georgia EMC Community Development Consultant Jenny Robbins on behalf of Slash Pine EMC and Georgia Power Community and Economic Development Regional Project Manager Scott Purvis will facilitate the meeting with the following goals:
  • to encourage thoughtful, intentional, planned growth for the community and
  • identify ways to collaborate, not duplicate—work together to have a greater impact.

The Board of Education, Chamber of Commerce, City of Argyle, City of DuPont, City of Fargo, City of Homerville, Board of Commissioners, Development Authority, Family Connection, Hospital Authority, Main Street/Downtown Development Authority and Public Health will share their strategic plans. The strategic plans will be followed by group discussion and brainstorming to identify things being done well and opportunities for improvement.
