The Clinch County Development Authority hosted nearly 70 at its Grow Clinch Showcase at the Suwannee River Eco-Lodge on Thursday. Existing industries, economic development partners, local officials and legislators from across the state were represented. State Representative Chad Nimmer, State Representative Jason Shaw, State Representative Ellis Black, Merritt Myers with Congressman Jack Kingston’s office and Jody Redding with Senator Johnny Isakson’s office were present.

Attendees learned about Clinch County assets that make it attractive for industry, agriculture and tourism and had a chance to tour the Suwannee River Visitor Center, play golf at the Suwannee River Golf Course and take a boat ride in the Okefenokee Swamp.  “The Development Authority decided to take economic development in our community to the next level last year when they made the decision to hire a full-time executive director. This event is our way to share our community with partners across the state, let them know we want it to grow and show them that success can be had in Clinch County,” said ReKasa Hart, Development Authority Executive Director.
